GZ550Fireplace Blower

Product was well packaged, arrived undamaged and was relatively easy to install. NEARLY an exact match of the original. Wiring contacts are oriented differently, so had a little anxiety over the white and black wires. Either it didn't make a difference or I guessed right, as the fan is working better than ever!

Good quality fan/blower

Fan is built better than the original unit. Blower seems to have ball bearings now. Was hoping the fan would be quieter but in my small room I need to have it on lowest setting. Noise is probably a function of the fireplace design as much as the blower but the blower appears to be great quality.

Larger than the original OEM fan

This motor was slightly larger than the original. It made getting it in there quite a challenge. Once in there I was not able to have it live flies when bolted in. So I had to buy Velcro strips to secure us instead of using the bolt system. My other complaint is that the motor tends to change speed. In other words the sound of the motor is not consistent. It can rev up a little bit or rev down a little bit.Not a huge deal but it is noticeable.
